It’s the fifth and final round of the Extreme E championship and Off Track previews the Energy X Prix. With 4 teams in contention for the title of Champion, it’s going to be a brilliant weekend to watch!

Tamara Molinaro is as determined a racer as you’ll ever meet. Born into a motorsport family, her passion for rallying was sealed when she got into her first rally car on ice β€” and with a couple of pillows on the seat β€” at just 11 years old.

Then there was no turning back. European Rally Championship, WRC, rallycross, Italian Gravel Rally Championship β€” she’s done it all and has the trophies to prove it. And this year she added an Extreme E podium trophy to the collection β€” not bad considering she started 2022 without a drive.

But it hasn’t always been easy for Tamara, who rose through the ranks so quickly she had to learn to be an adult on the course and behind the wheel.

She sat down with Off Track to talk through her rapid progression, her love for Extreme E and β€” yes β€” that tattoo she got with Timo Scheider.

In this episode of Off Track the championship lives on to the final round of the season, Michael tries to find the windscreen wipers and James gives out his own dropped flag penalties.

It’s the fourth round of the Extreme E championship, and Off Track previews the Copper X Prix. Championship driver Fraser McConnell joins James to preview the track, while Michael and Freya take a look at the championship so far, consider why we’re racing in Chile and suggest other extreme places for the series to race in the future.

If you had told Emma Gilmour a year ago that she would be driving for the outfit that bears the name of New Zealand automotive royalty, she’d almost have certainly not believed you.

But now Emma is part of an elite line-up of drivers at the Woking-based squad, representing one of the biggest shifts in diversity in motorsport, by being the first female driver to drive for McLaren while repping the New Zealand flag.

Emma sat down with James at the McLaren Technology Centre to talk about her motorsport journey so far, driving at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and not opening her eyes when in a crash.

Rosberg X Racing extends its championship lead as its title rivals struggle for consistency over two tough rounds in Sardinia.

James, Freya and Michael wrap up the Neom Island X Prix double-header by debating what goes into a good Scandinavian breakfast, whether being flat is a real emotional state and who got stuck in the goo, which is a technical racing term.

It’s the second and third round of the Extreme E championship and Off Track previews the Island X Prix. Fraser McConnell gives his analysis of the Sardinia course, and James, Michael and Freya pick their favourites ahead of the double-header.

If you can think of a car, Tanner Foust has almost certainly driven it, almost certainly sideways and probably on camera. So presented with the opportunity to drive the Spark Odyssey 21, there was only ever going to be one answer.

The rallycross and Formula Drift champion, X Games gold medallist, Top Gear host, decorated stunt driver β€” we could go on β€” sat down with Off Track to talk about his on and off-track career, turning nerves into speed and his role in Ken Block’s Gymkhana series.

James, Freya and Michael also recap the start of the 2022 season ahead of the double-header in Sardinia.

Izabella Rekiel was excited to join Extreme E as its inaugural impact correspondent, but to take part this globe-trotting Australian DJ would have to change her life by spending the entire season aboard the St Helena.

In telling the story of the ship, its crew and their voyage around the world Izy saw firsthand the devastation being wrought by climate change and human behaviour but was inspired by a new perspective on the natural world and the growing number of people determined to save it.

James and Michael caught up with Izabella at the end of the 2021 season to hear about her year aboard the ship that makes Extreme E tick. Just don’t call it a boat.

As a teenager Christine GZ knew she loved motorsport. She had only one problem: she didn’t know what it was. But a chance meeting with an A92 Corolla in Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands set her on a cross-continental odyssey that would eventually lead her to Extreme E.

Along the way she taught herself to weld, became a mozzarella dealer, went to mechanic school, dabbled in tow truck ownership, sold everything she owned and jumped aeroplane wings in the Mojave Desert in an unlikely story of energy and perseverance.

GZ sat down with James and Michael at the 2021 Jurassic X Prix to recount her overwhelming journey to establish herself in international motorsport.

When Oli Bennett puts his mind to something, he makes it happen, and the owner of inaugural Extreme E team Xite Energy Racing has his sights set on success.

But the rallycross ace is aiming for victory off track as well as on it. The fitness fanatic with a background in nutrition and a brain for business has brewed Xite Energy in pursuit of not only an edge over the competition but also a new health-conscious direction for energy drinks.

Extreme E is his latest challenge, and James and Michael sat down with Oli at the season-ending 2021 Jurassic X Prix to talk about his feel behind the wheel and his understanding of the word ‘mouthfeel’.
